I am sure you
have heard of our
wonderful
pigs.
The good news is that we have pork available now.
The pigs have been slow grown
and are free range. They have received no medication other than what
has been necessary. We use the
abattoir at Laverstoke Park Farm in Overton, near Basingstoke and the meat is butchered locally. The Saddleback is a not a
modern style of pig. It has more fat than one would get normally from a supermarket
but the benefit is a far superior taste and the most wonderful crackling.
This latest batch is an Oxford Sandy and Black.
The first batch will go to Laverstoke in July
